Our Commitment

ShogiTools is committed to making its content accessible to all users, including people with disabilities. We aim to comply with WCAG 2.1 Level AA and the Israeli accessibility standard SI 5568.

Accessibility Features

  • Accessibility Widget — A floating accessibility menu is available on every page.
  • Font Size Control — Users can increase the site font size.
  • High Contrast Mode — Toggle high contrast for improved readability.
  • Line Spacing — Increase line spacing for easier reading.
  • Link Highlighting — Visually highlight all links on the page.
  • Light Mode — Switch between dark and light themes.
  • Keyboard Navigation — Keyboard navigation with a clearly visible focus indicator and a "skip to main content" link on every page.
  • Reduced Motion — The site respects your operating system's reduce-motion setting.
  • Alt Text — All meaningful images include descriptive alt text.
  • Heading Structure — Proper heading hierarchy (H1–H3) throughout.
  • RTL Support — Full right-to-left text direction support.

Current Accessibility Level

The site is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA: colour contrast, touch-target sizes, visible keyboard focus, a skip-to-content link, semantic heading structure and reduced-motion support have all been addressed. No full external accessibility audit has been carried out yet, and we continue to review and improve.

Known Limitations

Some third-party embedded content (such as product images from external sources) may not meet all accessibility requirements. We are continuously working to improve this.
